When working as a teacher in Austria in the 1950s, Mr. Hugo Bonatti discovered his love for literature and recitation. He began to write poems, novels and short stories. Additionally to his occupation as an author, Bonatti recited his own text as well those by other famous German-speaking writers and gave lectures at universities in several European countries as well as in the United States. He received the Prose and Drama Award of Innsbruck and is vice president of the P.E.N. club in Tirol, Austria.
Here at UVa he will read his one person, one act play „Die Abreise“ on Siegmund Freud as well as other texts, light ones as well as serious ones.
