CFP Migration and Movement 2015 – EXTENDED DEADLINE

22nd Annual German Studies Graduate Conference at the University of Virginia:

Schwalbenflug: Migration and Movement in Languages, Arts, and Sciences

February 20-21, 2015

We invite graduate students from all disciplines to present papers on any aspect of travel or emigration in English or German (with an English summary for non-German speakers). While this conference is being hosted by the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at the University of Virginia, students in other fields, including social sciences, anthropology, sociology, history, natural sciences, literary and media studies, art, and architecture, are encouraged to submit an abstract.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

As the application dealing has passed, it is no longer possible to apply through the housing website. Anyone still wishing to apply to the German House for the year 2015/16, can request the application by writing an email to Mr. McDonald, Professor of the German Department (wcm@virginia.edu), or the German the Language Advisor of the German House, Maximiliane Wagner (mw8yw@virginia.edu).
